Laura & Adam are two Federal Hill residents who attended brother/sister private schools in Baltimore growing up. However, it took them traveling all the way to University of South Carolina for undergrad to meet! After several encounters in their marine biology major, they finally decided it was fate. And what better way to celebrate their love to each other (and their love for bayside livin’) than an ode to all things nautical at their Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding!
These two Marine Science lovers filled their wedding day with bright teal accents, lush greenery, subtle florals, all complimented by oyster shells and driftwood! The Beach Club was the absolute perfect venue for Laura & Adam’s vision, and let’s just say that my Chesapeake Bay-loving heart was completely swooning over every single detail. Everything was so personal and well thought out – from Laura’s family heirloom earrings, to the donations made in each guest’s honor to put thousands of oysters back into the Chesapeake Bay! One of the main reasons oysters are an integral part of the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem is that they act as natural filters for our water – so the more oysters there are, the cleaner our Bay!
Laura and Adam,
You both looked so amazing and the joy that radiated from the two of you on your wedding day was absolutely contagious. Enjoy this little (but actually kind of long) sneak peek into your wedding day! Love you guys!
Laura went above and beyond with her details – I could’ve sat there and styled these pieces all day long!
These welcome gifts for their guests just scream Maryland, and I love it!
Those rings! You don’t see gold much anymore – but I love it! So classic.
These pearl earrings belong to Laura’s mother (given to her by her husband on her wedding day!) and looked so amazing styled on a gold-trimmed oyster shell.
These bayside inspired bridesmaid dresses are so bold and beautiful!
Adam looking dapper in a bow tie and Laura killin it in those kitty slippers – a little shoutout to their cat, Meeko!
Succulents added the perfect pop of seafoam green to their day.
Even the groomsmen’s socks perfectly matched their theme!
Seriously though, I’m dying over these colors!!!
Laura wore a flower crown filled with seashells…add in that sleek wedding gown and blue ombre veil and yes, she’s a literal mermaid!!!
A cross over the ceremony site, made of oyster shells.
Adam’s reaction to Laura coming down the aisle was so sweet and emotional!
Bridal Party goals!
This cute little ring bearer nearly stole the show all day long!
Their reception had even more thoughtful, nautical details!
The Tavern on the Bay Ballroom in the Beach Club was the most beautiful setting for their reception.
I loved the pops of teal in the sea glass and pretty jars!
You know its a good day when you get to sneak the couple away for some sunset photos on the beach!
Finally, the night ended with a wild party and it did NOT disappoint!!! SO many good dance moves were busted out!
