Sophia and Josh are a beautiful couple with a classic kind of love. They are two of the kindest, smartest and most talented couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! Their wedding day was full of genuine laughter, great storytelling, and lots of happy tears.
Did I mention these two are super talented?
Let me start by telling you about all of the SINGING that happened!!! It felt like I was photographing a broadway show! From the beautiful cantor during their Catholic ceremony, to Sophia’s sister’s Disney-inspired wedding speech/song, to their aunt and grandfather performing love songs during the reception, and finally Sophia singing and playing guitar to a song she wrote for Josh!!! It was truly a night to remember.
Sophia chose pretty lilac gowns for her bridesmaids, and bright bouquets with pops of white, blush, and peach surrounded by textured greenery. Their reception space was filled with neutral linens and lilac and blush centerpieces, while gold accents perfectly complimented the beautiful stone walls of the ballroom at Woodlands at Algonkian. King and Queen’s Seat Bridal Portraits | Sophia & Josh
Normally, this is where my blog post would end – but Sophia and Josh are extra special! In lieu of an engagement session, Sophia and Josh chose to put their wedding attire to good use and head back out for some more pictures two days after their wedding!
We hiked over to Rocks State Park on Memorial Day to snap some more pictures of the newlyweds in a new location. And guys – it was EPIC. The views were amazing, the weather was perfect, and Sophia and Josh were such troopers! Dress shoes, heels, and wedding gowns are not meant for rock scrambling, but man did they do it! I’m so impressed with how well they handled it because it was not easy! But we had a blast and I think it was SO worth it – just see for yourselves! 🙂
It was sunny, crowded, and kind of a crazy morning but these two nailed every shot!

It was busy and we only had a couple minutes to ourselves at the peak of the King and Queen’s Seat, but holy cow was it perfect!
