Megan & Patrick are finally married! It seems like forever ago that we sat down in Panera Bread and talked about their wedding day dreams. I was excited to work with them, because I didn’t realize that the fiance Meg had been gushing over in her emails was actually a friend of mine from high school! It was so nice to see how happy Meg & Pat make each other I was seriously so pumped for their Linganore Winecellars wedding.
They married on July 5th, which turned out to be a typical hot & sunny July day! They chose to tie the knot overlooking the beautiful valleys of Mount Airy with acres of vineyards in the distance. In typical Maryland fashion, some storm clouds rolled in but held off just long enough for the couple to enjoy their ceremony and all their pictures outside! Of course, it poured buckets as soon as I needed to carry all my equipment to my car at the end of the night! Go figure! But I’m glad it held off!
Meg & Pat chose a soft, pastel color palette with light blues and greens for their wedding day with rustic details. The vibe matched perfectly with Linganore’s barn reception room, which was made even more beautiful with local flowers provided by Two Boots Farm.
The entire day went off without a hitch, and honesly was one of the most perfectly timed weddings I’ve been to in a while! Everything ran smoothly, (even with A/C & water breaks to hide from the sun!) and everyone was such a pleasure to work with. Meg & Pat, I’m so thrilled for the two of you, and I wish you lots of love and happiness!!!
I love their ring set. So classic.
They read their vows out of these adorable vow books. Keep scrolling to see why their vows were so special!
Meg chose to wear her grandmother’s pearls on her wedding day.
I couldn’t help but laugh when I met up with the girls in the morning – these are the best getting ready outfits I’ve seen!!!
The guys looking quite dapper!
Meg & Pat had an emotional first look on the deck of the Linganore Winecellars barn.
They had the biggest smiles after they finally got to see each other!
They are such a stunning couple!
The flower girl and ring bearer were so precious!
Meg’s bouquet was made by Blossom & Basket, and the bridesmaids bouquets were DIY by Meg and the girls! They used loose local stems from Two Boots Farm and wood flowers as well!
You couldn’t ask for a better backdrop for the ceremony.
Pat teared up as his bride walked down the aisle with her dad.
Pat and Meg’s vows were so incredibly beautiful, sentimental, and emotional. Whats crazy is that they both mentioned several of the same things in their vows, like their dog Porter, their first date at The Kent, and they felt so comfortable together from the moment they met.
After the ceremony, the clouds looked to be rolling in, so we snuck in a few more portraits before heading to cocktail hour. And gosh, I’m glad we did! The light was amazing!
This one might be my favorite!!!
Porter’s puppy paws were too much for a wedding da, so he came along in spirit!
I love a good barn reception!
Fun fact: Meg is part of the Otterbein family! If you’re from Maryland, you’ve probably heard of Otterbein Cookies. They’re so delicious! Meg & Pat offered them to their guests as favors!
Table numbers featured young pictures of the couple.
I love all the different cake options!
After their first dance, the maid of honor and best man wowed the crowd with amazing speeches. There was even a slide show!
Meg then danced with her dad…and surprised him with a fun song! The whole family joined in!
Pat & his mom shared a sweet dance together as well.
The dance floor was packed all night!
We cooled off for a few more sunset photos towards the end of the night. I could not resist capturing some portraits under this crazy stormy sky!
If these views don’t make you want to have a Linganore Winecellars wedding, I don’t what will!
