Coming at ya today with an EXTRA special blog post! Last summer, I had the absolute honor of photographing a very special Salty’s on Alki wedding day. My cousin Adam and his new wife Chelsea asked me to be their wedding photographer! I was so thrilled that they wanted me to capture their day. Adam’s family and mine have been very close our entire lives, and we loved Chelsea the moment we met her, so it was such an honor to capture these moments for them.
Adam and Chelsea chose to have their wedding at the sweetest location with the most breathtaking views of the downtown Seattle skyline. It was a warm, sunny day full of so much love. I’m so excited to share this wedding with you all! Keep reading to see how they made it so personal and special!
Adam & Chelsea’s details were so beautifully curated. Chelsea chose ivory & gold details with a pop of fuchsia that perfectly matched the bridesmaid dresses. She even brought along some orchids to add elevate the detail shots. Adam’s classic black tux accessories were paired with the sweetest gift from Chelsea’s mom – a pin featuring the late mother of the groom, Betsy.
Chelsea’s engagement ring is an heirloom piece that once belonged to Adam’s mom. I love how she was honored by both of them in their accessories!
Once we arrived to Salty’s, Chelsea and Adam shared a private first look on the pier, and then shared personal vows with each other.
After their vows, we snapped a few portraits and then brought the wedding party out to celebrate!
The ceremony space was minimally decorated so you could still see the beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. A string trio welcomed them into their ceremony. Adam was accompanied down the aisle by his aunt – aka my mom! 🙂 My brother Mike was also a groomsman. It was fun to have our family be a part of this beautiful moment!
After sharing their vows (and wine!) at their ceremony, we snapped some family portraits!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the view here and how incredible Chelsea looks?! 10/10!
It’s not often that I get to be in photos – perks of family weddings! These cousins are like my siblings, and its always a blast when we get together.
The Salty’s on Alki wedding reception space was beautifully decorated with white linens, lush white florals, elegant gold details and pops of fuchsia orchids.
Let the party begin! Chelsea & Adam shared a beautiful first dance – and check out that outfit change!
The sunset skies were NEXT LEVEL so I stole the newlyweds for a few more magical moments outside!
The festivities were kicked off with some equally hilarious and emotional speeches by friends and family. I then proceeded to cry like a baby when Adam & my mom shared a Aunt-Nephew dance. I’m surprised I could see through the lens with all the tears! Lol!
Naturally, the rest of the evening was full of killer dance moves and enjoying the perfect Seattle night on the water.
Lastly, a killer sparkler exit to send them off! Congratulations Chelsea and Adam!!!
