Colleen and Ryan are just the absolute sweetest couple! I was so thrilled when Colleen reached out about photographing her wedding a while back, because I am actually a big fan of her fashion & lifestyle blog! Her wedding was simple, clean, and classic – so fitting for this couple and their style. It wouldn’t be a Colleen C Cook wedding without some signature pops of pink and gold, too!
They chose to host a beautiful Lauxmont Farms wedding for their closest family and friends. It rained like crazy which put a little wrench in our plans for a moment, but they stayed cheerful and optimistic! Luckily, the storm passed just in time for us to snap a few pre-ceremony portraits and even have the ceremony outdoors as planned!
I loved Colleen’s blush pink, hot pink and gold feminine bridal details. She then got dressed with the help of her mom, and shared an exciting first look with her bridesmaids.
Ryan and his groomsmen crew were able to grab some pre-ceremony moments outside before the rain, too! Once it cleared, it was the girls’ turn! Blue suits and blush bridesmaid dresses are one of my favorite wedding party color combos.
Their Lauxmont Farms wedding ceremony was so beautifully set up. It overlooked the most gorgeous view of rolling hills and the river just beyond. Even with the misty rain, it was calm and serene. The perfect setting for their beautiful & emotional vows.
After the ceremony, we celebrated the newlyweds with the wedding party, and then jumped in to lots of portraits of the happy couple!
Colleen even popped on a cute, tiered veil for a few photos. It balanced her flowy, beaded ballgown so well and added another romantic element to her bridal look.
They kept things clean and classic for their reception decor. Blush pink centerpieces, white linens, and gold votives made the space feel light and airy.
We weren’t confident that we’d get a sunset given the cloudiness of the day, but when I saw the sun break through the clouds during dinner, I knew I had to grab them for a few more photos! How cool is that sky?
Colleen and Ryan provided lawn games, fire pits and lots of snacks for their guests to enjoy throughout the evening. But, most of them spent their time tearing up the dance floor and singing their hearts out! It was truly such a magical night!
