Jaclyn & John – where to begin with this epic Glen Ellen Farm wedding day?! For starters, Jaclyn and John reached out to me back in 2020 about photographing their wedding. We bonded over both being brides during a tough time to plan (so hard to book venues when you’re not allowed to leave your house!), using the same wedding planner (shout out to Katie!) and our love of fluffy cats! During the planning process, we actually ended up doing two engagement sessions – one holiday themed session at Longwood Gardens, and one summer session at Lake Kittamaqundi, which is so special to them! I absolutely loved getting to know the two of them throughout their engagement and was so thrilled to be a part of their wedding day at Glen Ellen Farm.

Jaclyn and John’s photography coverage lasted a little longer than most wedding days, due to a break between their ceremony and cocktail hour. This sweet couple prioritized photos (which this photographer LOVES to hear!) so we made the most of our time! The day started bright and early with details and getting ready, then on to the ceremony, and then stopped at a park for a Chick Fil A picnic break before continuing the day with portraits and reception!

The day continued with a break from the hot sun, and then on to portraits at Glen Ellen Farm. The rest of the evening continued with food, fun and lots of dancing! It was truly a magical day and I hope you all enjoy these images. Buckle up – it’s a long one, but so, so, good!!!

I absolutely adored Jaclyn’s wedding vision. Dusty blue, light blue, and white details with a classic and romantic feel. Also, the personal touches were beautiful – hand calligraphed place cards & envelopes, a custom ring box, and they even found beer that matched their theme – AND their last name!!!

Jaclyn is a PRO at champagne sprays – I mean just look at that! After some celebratory drinks, it was time to get ready!

Our beautiful bride shared a first look with her bridesmaids (love those light blue dresses!) and then with her father.

Their ceremony was held at St. John’s the Evangelist in Downtown Frederick. It was a beautiful Catholic mass.

After the wedding, we made a pitstop at Baker Park for some Chick Fil A – and more champagne!

After freshening up at Glen Ellen, it was time for some wedding party portraits in front of their gorgeous historic house.

Jaclyn and John looked so timeless in their wedding attire. Jaclyn’s simple yet showstopping satin ballgown complimented John’s classic black tux so wonderfully.

I cannot get over how radiant they are together!

Cocktail hour took place in the barn ruins of Glen Ellen Farm.

The reception space was made cozy yet upscale with a custom monogram bar, lounge seating with custom pillows and koozies!

The dinner space was beautifully designed with blue and white ginger jars, mismatched vintage china, white florals, greenery, and place cards with calligraphy.

The bride and groom made their grand entrance into the reception with some epic cold sparks and an energizing first dance!

After dinner, we snuck the couple out for some dreamy sunset photos – and these are some of my favorite shots of the whole evening!

The rest of the evening was filled with fun, including a champagne tower pour, emotional speeches, and beautiful parent dances.

The dance floor did not quit! DJ Jake kept the energy high and the guests had a blast! Even though it was one of the longest wedding days I’ve captured (14 hours!) I found myself not wanting it to end!!!
