Colleen and August celebrated their wedding on a rainy day at the beautiful Historic London Town & Gardens in Annapolis, Maryland. This particular wedding day began with a gentle drizzle, the kind that adds a touch of romance to the air. Despite the weather, there was an undeniable sense of excitement and anticipation as the bride and groom prepared to say “I do” surrounded by their loved ones. Colleen fully embraced and welcomed the weather!
The venue itself was like a fairytale setting straight out of a storybook. Lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and delicate petals created a picturesque backdrop for the day’s festivities. The colors of spring were in full bloom, with shades of pink, purple, and peach adorning every corner of the venue.
As the ceremony drew near, the rain intensified, but it did little to dampen the spirits of the couple. In fact, it seemed to add an extra layer of intimacy and coziness to the occasion. There’s something incredibly romantic about exchanging vows under a canopy of raindrops, surrounded by the scent of fresh flowers and the sound of nature’s symphony.

After getting ready, Colleen & August were able to share their private first look under the willow trees just outside the gardens.
We had a small window of time outside before heavier rains fell, so we took advantage of as much time as we could out in the beautiful property of London Town!
We finished up portraits at the ceremony space, where the beauty of the gardens were brought inside thanks to the talents of True Floral!
They had a sweet & beautiful ceremony followed by a few more portraits as newlyweds!
Colleen & August’s reception was held in the covered outdoor space where the garden feel was still alive and fresh! Their vision made this rainy day feel so beautifully light & springy, despite the weather.
In the end, it wasn’t the rain that defined this wedding day, but rather the love that filled every moment. As a photographer, it was an honor to witness and capture such a beautiful celebration of love. Rain or shine, love always finds a way to bloom.
