Last spring, I had the pleasure of photographing a breathtaking Tilghman Island estate wedding that took place on a private family property against the scenic backdrop of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. The theme? Classic, elegant, Eastern Shore living. Oysters & blue crabs, with a palette of light blue, navy, and white details added an extra layer of charm to this calm setting.

Campbell & Ben’s family property was the perfect place to celebrate this love story. Just adding to the many memories they’ve already made there! They are just the sweetest couple and everything could not have bben more perfect for them. The weather was amazing, the food was delicious, and the guests were thrilled to be a part of such a noteworthy wedding day!

Let’s take a look into their waterfront wedding day – starting with these amazing details! The soft, light blue tones perfectly reflected the blue sky of Tilghman Island. The oysters (a classic Eastern Shore staple) played homage to Tilghman Island’s maritime history. And the hydrangeas were the perfect romantic compliment to it all!

The happy couple got ready at a nearby venue, Wylder Hotel. Personally, I think it was the perfect place to pop some bubbly before their first look!

We hopped over to the estate, where Campbell shared an emotional first look with her dad, and then a special moment with Ben on the pier. They even walked down to the end to share their private vows with each other amongst the calm waters.

The wedding party joined them shortly after, dressed in gray & black tuxes and light blue dresses. The ladies held beautiful blue and white bouquets.

After signing the ketubah, they held the marriage ceremony along the waterfront of the beautiful Tilghman Island estate.

After some champagne and confetti to celebrate the newlyweds, guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour. They were treated to live music, shade from the cutest coastal umbrellas, refreshments served in a boat, and a fresh raw oyster bar. They even got to watch the couple do the traditional southern bourbon dig!

The natural wood reception tables were adorned with beautiful floral centerpieces, and each guest’s plate held a personalized oyster shell doubling as a keepsake. Settings were decorated with scalloped dishes, blue floral linens, blue glassware, gold flatware, acrylic signage, and woven placemats that perfectly complimented the rattan lanterns above the dance floor.

We snuck out after the incredible speeches and dances to capture some more portraits by the water. You really can’t beat a Chesapeake Bay sunset – I mean just LOOK at that sky!

From the sweet glances and nuzzles exchanged during their wedding portraits, to the exuberant laughter and moves on the dance floor, every image told a story of a day filled with love, happiness, and unique charm. I’m so honored Campbell and Ben included me on this undeniably perfect day!
